The system

Utility AC in.
800 VDC out.

Data centers are moving to 800 VDC. Tritium has been doing 800 VDC distribution for over two decades, across 23,000+ field assets. GRID-FLEX brings that experience to the data hall: modular, liquid-cooled cabinets on a shared DC bus, IP65 sealed to sit outdoors.

Grid support

Built to clear
interconnection.

Utilities approve projects that help the grid, not just draw from it. GRID-FLEX ships with the grid-support behaviour interconnection studies ask for, so the review is about your site, not your rectifier.

98.5%
Peak efficiency

Less energy lost in conversion means less heat to reject and more of your connection delivered as usable DC.

±0.9 PF
Reactive power

Voltage support and power-factor correction delivered on demand, without a separate compensator.

Ride-through
Fault tolerance

Stays connected and supports the grid through voltage and frequency excursions instead of tripping off.

Working around the clock

Most backup power waits.
This one works.

The same block that protects the site manages its energy the rest of the time: filling storage when power is cheap, trimming the peak when it is not, and responding to utility demand-response calls. One day, one block:

Applications

One platform.
Wherever power is critical.

01

AI & Data Centers

800 VDC to the hall, with the grid-support behaviour utilities ask for at this scale.

02

BESS & Renewables

800 VDC interface for storage, solar and hybrid plants, with isolated DC:DC on the same bus.

03

Microgrids

Grid-tied or islanded, and moves between the two without re-engineering.

04

Industrial & Critical Sites

Reliable megawatts for plants, campuses and critical facilities. N+2 redundant, IP65 sealed, and built to integrate storage and on-site generation.

05

Port-side Power

Shore power and electrified cargo handling, IP65 sealed for coastal duty.

The building blocks

Three cabinets.
One power block.

Cabinet 01

AC & DC Bays

AC and DC switching bays. Terminates the incoming feed and carries protection, isolation and monitoring for both sides. Presents the DC bus to whatever the site needs: busway, combiner boxes or a distribution board.

Cabinet 02

GRID-FLEX Rectifier

AC:DC power cabinet. Sixteen liquid-cooled 50 kW silicon-carbide modules on two independent banks deliver 800 kW per cabinet at 98.5% efficiency, with reactive power support and fault ride-through. N+2 by design: any 14 of 16 modules carry the full 800 kW.

800kW per cabinet · 800–950 VDC
Cabinet 03

GRID-FLEX Link

Isolated DC:DC power cabinet on the same bus. Adds galvanic isolation and independent voltage regulation for DC-coupled storage, generation, or loads that need something other than 800 V.

Up to 816kW · 150–1000 VDC

Blocks are independent and repeatable, each with its own feeders, cooling and protection. Parallel blocks to 9.6 MW and beyond. Buy the blocks you need today and add the next as load arrives, so spend tracks demand instead of a day-one forecast.
